Akihito Sugiyama (杉山 亮仁 Sugiyama Akihito) is a human character of the Mewkledreamy anime, debuting in Episode 37. He becomes one of the main antagonists in Mewkledreamy Mix!. He is the partner of Yuni, Tsugi and Hagi.
His voice actress is Yukiyo Fujii.

Appearance[]
Akihito is a fair-skinned young boy with browish black hair with a bang and his hair is a little longer than his brother's. He has purple eyes and he wears very detailed jackets, shirts, trousers, and shoes.

Akihito is 12 years old at the beginning, and turned 13 in Episode 11 of Mix!.

Akihito is very intelligent with IQ of 250.
Relationships[]
Haruhito Sugiyama: He is Akihito's older brother.
Akumu: She asks Akihito to help her spread nightmares; believing her goal can make his dream world come true, Akihito agrees to help. They stopped working together later, as Akihito realized that Akumu is wrong because of Yume.
Yuni, Tsugi and Hagi: They are Akihito's partner starting from Mix!.
Ritsu Imai: He studies at the same university as Akihito's, and works with him in the laboratory.
Yume Hinata: She is Akihito's senior at Ichigo Junior High School. He seems to have a crush on Yume.
Biography[]
Akihito is Haruhito's younger brother. Due to his intelligence, he is currently studying at a university in America even at the age of 12.
In Episode 37, it is revealed according to Yuri Sawamura that he mastered high school Math by the age of 5 and a program he made in kindergarten has received worldwide acclaim. After that a university in America scouted Akihito to be part of the university's research facility where he is involved in a top secret American project. Yuri even heard he is even serving as the president’s advisor.
Starting from Mix!, he enrolled into Ichigo Junior High School and became a first-year student there. He enters the computer club and becomes the new president. He also became an antagonist by helping Akumu to spread nightmares, as he hopes that humans can live in a virtual world, and believes her goal can make his dream world come true. He develops a crush on Yume later.
In Episode 43 of Mix!, after seeing Yume suffered from Akumu, he realized that Akumu's ambition is not what he wants, thus persuaded her to stop spreading nightmares. Akumu stopped working with him afterwards.
Etymology[]
- The name Akihito means "clear" (亮) (aki) and "compassionate" (仁) (hito).
- Akihito's surname Sugiyama means "cedar" (杉) (sugi) and "mountain, hill" (山) (yama).
