They are made by the Fairies in the Miracle Dreamy Kingdom. They are plush kittens that can go to the world of dreams. They have human partners which they are called Dream Partners as mention in Episode 1 and Episode 20.
Description
Mew can go to the world of dreams by connecting her heart with her partner Yume Hinata. Only Mew has the power of Dream Synchro and without Mew, they can't even use Dream Synchro as mentioned by Suu in Episode 12 and only Mew partner, Yume Hinata can go with her as the other Dreamy Mates they go into someone dream according to Peko Care Guide in Episode 5.
They’re Dream Partners cannot tell anyone about them as mentioned in there Care guides like Mew’s in Episode 1 or like for example, Mew will return to being a stuffed animal according to the Queen in Episode 2. They are dropped from the sky and there Dream Partner found them.
In Episode 4 it's revealed that to awaken a Dreamy Mate is the power of Mew and her partner are needed which they need to use the Mewkle Stick. It also happened with Suu in Episode 6 but it seems that both Nene and Rei didn't need the power of the Mewkle Stick to awaken as shown in Episode 13 with Nene when Yume just used the Mewkle Stick to purify the Blck Abyss in Tokiwa dream which Nene appears afterwards after Yuni defeat and Episode 20 with Rei where Rei was awoken after The Queen Above the Skies visited Asahi to talk to him which Rei also appeared in.

Half of Nene Care guide has divinations as shown in Episode 13.
Rei Care guide in Episode 25 have some unmovable pages but when Asahi and Rei join Yume and the other with there Dreamy Mates they become unstuck which shows how to power up the Mewkle Stick.
Trivia
- Peko, Rei and Nene awoke in there Dream Partners dream. Peko awoke in Maira Tsukishima dream in Episode 4, Nene awoke in Tokiwa Anzai dream in Episode 13 and Rei awoken in Asahi Minamikawa in Episode 20.
